Myrtle Rutledge Dohse

Myrtle Rutledge Dohse, 94, of Gastonia, passed away December 10, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born August 2, 1921 in Gadsden, Alabama, the daughter of the late William Andrew Rutledge and Ruth Fortner Rutledge. Left to cherish her memories are her son Richard "Rick" Branson; daughter Wanda Domin and husband Ray; daughter-in-law Edna "Aunt Mo" Suddreth; grandchildren Jimmy Suddreth, Donna Morris, Lynn Wilson and husband Chuck, Mike Domin and wife Lorrie, Vikki Queen and husband Ronnie; Ricky Branson and wife Suzanne, Sheri Bingham and husband Allan, Pamela Paul and husband Malcolm, Wendi Branson; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren all of Gastonia; sister, Lola Hickstein of Bessemer City and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Doshe; son James Suddreth; grandson Christopher Queen; brother William Carl Rutledge; sister Pauline Grubb and daughter-in-law Peggy Branson. A funeral service will be held 3 pm Sunday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Michael Coe. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
