Myrtice Faye James

Myrtice Faye James, 83, of Kings Mountain, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at Atrium in Shelby.

She was born in South Carolina on March 1, 1940, to the late James and Marie McPeters.

Myrtice was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and attended Dallas Church of God. She was always selfless; she was all about her family.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Weldon James; daughter, Sarah Canipe; sister, Mary Berry; brothers, Jimmy McPeters, Eddie McPeters, and Billy McPeters.

Myrtice is survived by her sons, Ernest James (Melissa), Michael James (Tammy); daughter, Tammy Spivey; brothers, Gerald McPeters (Pam), Tim McPeters (Sharon); sister, Patricia Burnett (Jimmy); seventeen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Justin Burnette, will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023, 6:30 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 pm at the funeral home, other times at the home of Ernest and Melissa James.

A private interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta, Georgia.
