Msgt. Edward Rang

MSgt. Edward Michael Rang, 58, of York, SC, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020, at his residence.

He was born September 1, 1962, in Brooklyn, NY, son of Edward W. Rang and Nancy Rang Laterza.

Edward retired from the US Air Force as a MSgt after over 21 years of service.

During his Air Force career, he received the Meritorious Service Medal, AF Achievement Medal, AF Commendation Medal with 2 devices, AF Longevity Service Award with 4 devices, AF Training Ribbon, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon with 2 devices, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon with 2 devices, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 5 devices, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 5 devices.

He was also employed with Northeast Aero Compressor in Bohemia, NY for 11 years.

He received degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Aircraft Propulsion Systems from the University of Maryland.

Left to cherish his memories, in addition to his parents, are his life partner, Patricia Dempsey; children, Liz Ingram, Michael Taylor, and Nicole Dempsey; special friends, Renee and Eddie McDonald; brother, Robert Rang; sister, Lucy Laterza; grandchildren, Delilah Ingram and Lana Turner; niece, Arielle Rivera; nephew, Vincent Carlino, Jr.; former spouses, Carolyn Taylor and Michelle Clawson.

Services will be private.
