Molly Newton

Molly Francis Newton, 81, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at her residence. A native of Robbinsville, NC, she was born August 16, 1932, daughter of the late Pearly and Theatus Carter Hill. Mrs. Newton is survived by her husband, Arthur Newton; daughters, Donna Smith, Carla Jackson, wife of Jeff Jackson, and Angie Foy, wife of Scott Foy, all of Gastonia; sister, Anita Anthony of Gastonia; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Ray Hardee, will be held 11am Monday, April 14 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
