Mitchell Dean Robinson

Mitchell Dean Robinson,75, of Gastonia, passed away on March 13, 2014 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. Mitchell was born in Gaston County. He retired from China Grove Textiles after 35 years, as a master mechanic. He was employed by West End Hardware for many years. Mitchell was a member of Pisgah ARP Church, Gastonia, where he served as a deacon and was recently named Elder Emeritus. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, along with golfing. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Thomas E. Robinson and Vergie Robinson; sisters, Inez Jones and Elaine Robinson; brothers, Edward and Teddy Robinson. Mitchell is survived by: wife, Annie Huffstetler Robinson; son, Jeff Robinson and wife Mae Beth; daughter, Robin Robinson; grandchildren, Allison and Aaron Hites, Austin Robinson; brothers, Thomas Robinson Jr., Ray Robinson, Barry Robinson; sisters, Marie Beam, Brenda Sipes, Emogene Arrowood; special friends, Max and Beth Wolfe. A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Pisgah ARP Church, 3600 Linwood Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Rick Lewis. The visitation will be 6:00- 8:00 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the church.
