Misty Dawn Smith Dockery

Misty Dawn Smith Dockery, 41, of Gastonia, passed away January 30, 2018 at her residence.

She was born May 15, 1976, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of Michael Smith and Teresa (Tate) Denton.

Left to cherish her memories along with her parents, step-father Max Denton and step-mother Sandra Smith are her son, Hunter Ballard; daughters Alissa Ballard and Cassie Dockery; sister Brandie Mason and husband Boyd; nephews Austin and Aaron and special niece Adrionna.

She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Smith.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Gene Alley, will be held 2 pm Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel- 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Westview Gardens.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
