Obituary
Minnie Julia Jeter, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on August 10, 2025.

Minnie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Freddie Lee Jeter, her mother Violet McClain, and her father Robert Friday.

She leaves to cherish her memory her five loving children: Hattie Montgomery, Adrienne Byrd, Alana Jeter, Alicia Jeter, and Audrey Jeter.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends.

Minnie lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished caring for her family. She loved music, good food, and good times-especially cooking meals that brought everyone together.
Some of her happiest moments were spent fishing with her husband and friends, and she was always the heart of any gathering.

She worked for many years at Threads Manufacturing Company, where she built lasting relationships and gave her best each day. In her later years, Minnie dedicated her life to caring for her beloved husband until his passing, showing her strength, compassion, and enduring love.

Minnie's legacy is one of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Poem for Our Mother
Though your chair now sits empty,
your spirit fills the room,
A light that keeps on shining,
even through the gloom.

Your laughter still surrounds us,
your love will never part,
For though you've gone to Heaven,
you remain within our heart.

You taught us strength and kindness,
you showed us how to stand,
And even now you guide us,
with your gentle, loving hand.

So rest now, dearest Mother,
your work on earth is through,
The legacy you've given
lives on in all we do.

Acknowledgment
