Milton W. Rice, Jr.

Milton W. Rice Jr. died unexpectedly on August 27, 2015 in Gastonia at the age of 51. Milton was born on April 7th 1964 in Baltimore, MD. He graduated from Ashbrook High in 1982. He married Ann Shaver, his high school sweetheart, in Feb 1985. Milton worked for the City of Gastonia as the Signal Systems Supervisor. He was an Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator, KC4YOT. Milton is survived by his wife Ann Shaver Rice, mother, Frances Rice, father, Milton W. Rice Sr. and wife, Linda, two daughters Heather Rice-Lloyd and Elizabeth Rice-McCarter, two grandchildren and his brother and sister in-law, Christopher and Tracie Rice. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Milton's life which will be held 2:30 pm Monday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Scott Whitney. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. The family will receive friends 5 - 7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
