Mildred T. Fraley

Mildred T. Fraley, 89, of Dallas, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at her daughter's residence.

She was born August 6, 1932, in Habersham County, Georgia, daughter of the late Herman and Ida Thomas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dewey Thomas; grandchild, Eugene Jr.; and 2 husbands, Paul Stilwell and Lewis Fraley.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Linda Whiting of Dallas, NC and Nancy Tyner of Knoxville, TN; siblings, J.D. (Gin) Thomas of Granby, CT, Margie Helton of York, SC, Sarah (Bill) Walker of Earl, NC, Brenda (Larry) Crawford of Stanley, NC, Mae (Buck) Whitted of Stanley, NC; grandchildren, Crystal Ramsey of Gastonia, NC, Tammy (Mike) Jones of Forest City, NC, Gerard (Ginger) Ramsey of Lincolnton, NC, Cindy (Jeff) of Knoxville, TN, and Juwan Tyner of Gastonia, NC; 9 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great- grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mildred was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church for 32 years.

She was a former Sunday School teacher and former member of Lowell Freewill Baptist Church.

She loved reading her Bible, gardening, and sewing.

Mildred raised her brothers and sisters for many years and loved her family very much.

She was truly loved by her family, church family, and everyone she met.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Chris Doster, will be held 11:00am on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00am until 11:00am prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church, 104 Downey Lake Rd, Dallas, NC 28034.

Burial will be private following the service.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
