It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Micky Starnes a beloved husband, father, paw paw and friend. Surrounded by family, he peacefully passed away on October 27, 2025 in Mount Holly, NC.

Born in Burlington, NC, Micky lived a life rooted in love, service, and pride. A proud retired U.S. Navy veteran, he served his country with honor and dedication - values he carried throughout his life. After his service, he built a life centered around family, laughter, and community.

Micky was a devoted husband to Teresa, sharing 38 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and joy. Together they built a home where family was everything - a place of warmth, kindness, and the occasional Packers game cheering session.

Above all, Micky was a loving father and paw paw who found his greatest happiness in his family. His wisdom, humor, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Teresa, his children Amanda, Andrea and Joseph. Grandchildren Riley, Sabrina, Skylar, Landen and Tristyn.

His Mom, Nancy, sister Shera/Sam ,brothers Ed/Tamra, David, Steve numerous nieces and nephews

A celebration of Micky's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any of the Veterans Charities.
