Mickey Barber

Mickey Barber, 71, of Kings Mountain, passed away on December 31, 2020, at his home.

He was born October 1, 1949, in Gaston County, son of the late Lawrence Barber and Marie Wilson Barber.

Mickey loved dirt track racing and was an extremely competitive driver.

A memorial service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Laurel Wood Ministries, 124 Gamble Loop Drive, Bessemer City, officiated by Rev. Richard Christopher.

The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

Mickey is survived by his son, Mickey Bradshaw Barber and wife Sheila; companion, June Laws; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins;  sisters, Kay Williams, Nancy Dunn; granddaughter, Heather Turner: great-granddaughter, Kylee Hyder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Bradshaw Barber; brothers, David, Nugget, Keith and Reggie Barber.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
