Michael Wayne Welch

Michael Wayne Welch, 61, of Clover, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at his home.
He was born in Cleveland County, NC on July 10, 1965, to the late Billy Ray Welch, Sr. and June Stiles Welch Beaver.

Mike is survived by his wife and best friend of 39 years, Michelle Hibberts Welch; daughter, Hannah Nicole Welch; brother, Billy Ray Welch, Jr.; sisters, Sharon Welch Vause and Shannon Welch; special nieces, Katlyn Allison and Christian Good; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, sisters-in-law, Donna Friday, Tammy Moose, Jane Weaver, Sandy Black, and Angie Lail.

Mike was a member of South Gastonia Church of God. He had many various skills and gifts, a true "jack of all trades". Mike was the kind of person who could fix anything - be it mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc. He was always willing to offer a helping hand to family, friends, or neighbors in need. Mike was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. His presence, personality, and endless jokes will be sorely missed.

A private, family service will be held at a later date.
