Michael Eugene Tuttle, 67, of Belmont, NC, passed away Thursday May 12th, 2022, peacefully with his family by his side.
Mike was born on June 27, 1954, in Forsyth Co, NC. Son of the late Hilary and Betty Wagner Tuttle. and later moved to Gastonia to raise his family. Although his life was cut short, he lived a full life. He retired from Duke Power after 30 years of service. His passions were his hobbies of fishing, tinkering on anything he could find, and socializing with friends. He often became a center of attention among friends and family while storytelling which were often long-winded jokes.
His retirement was focused on his lake home. He was his happiest while staring over the lake for hours. The lake is where he taught his grandchildren to fish and enjoyed a peaceful slow voyage on the boat. Early in his life, he spent his time donating to help others and supporting his friends and family. He was a 32nd degree Freemason and a Shriner, previous member of the Duke Energy Nuclear Bassmasters, and a yearly participant of Lake Wylie's River Sweep.
Michael is survived by his wife, Susan; brother, Rusty Martin; his daughter, Michelle with husband Tim; his son, Bradley with wife Krissy; along with his loving grandchildren, Rachel, Landon, Clayton, and Adeline.
A reception of friends and family will be held on May 21st at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel - 1503 South York Road, Gastonia NC at 1-3pm.
