It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Allen Ramsey, 75, who left us on March 7, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on February 25, 1951, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Mike lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his family and community.
Mike was not just a truck driver; he was a dedicated member of Dallas Baptist Church, where he shared his warm voice in the choir and served on the property committee. He drove the church van with pride, ensuring the seniors could come together for special events. His passion for life extended beyond church activities; Mike was an avid golfer and a loyal fan of the Tar Heels basketball team and the Carolina Panthers football team.
Above all, Mike cherished his family. He found immense joy in attending the events of his children and grandchildren, supporting them wholeheartedly in every endeavor. His laughter and spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 51 years, Lea Ann Ramsey; children, Michael Allen Ramsey II, Billy Ramsey (Cathy), and Allison Ramsey Davis; grandchildren, Skylar Mackenzie Creighton (Jake Lee), Conner Ramsey, Anna Lynn Ramsey (Arthur Kennedy), Cameron Ramsey, Joey Davis, Landry Ramsey, and Maggie Davis; great grandson, Kayden Michael Kennedy; honorary grandchild, Ashton Harrelson; siblings, Rev. Paul Ramsey, Virginia Nixon, Jewell Brown (Earl), and Freida Pendleton; brother in law, George Matthews; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mike was preceded in death by parents, William and Mildred Ramsey; brother, James Ramsey; sisters, Merle Smith, Mary Handsel, and Judy Matthews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Dallas Baptist Church, with a visitation taking place beforehand at 1:00 PM.
In celebrating Mike's life, we invite family and friends to gather, share stories, and reminisce about the man who brought so much joy to our lives. We will all carry a part of him with us, and his legacy of love and community will continue to shine brightly.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. The family welcomes you to share stories and condolences online at www.greenefuneral.com
