Michael Memphis Mayne

Michael Memphis Mayne, 70, of Bessemer City, passed away Friday, December 26, 2015, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born February 10, 1945, in Gaston County, son of the late James "Buck" Mayne, Jr. and Annie Buchanan Wiggins.

Michael was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Germany.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Keith Mayne and step-father, Vincent Wiggins.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Nancy Mayne; daughter, Lu-Ann Anthony and husband Scott; and grandchildren, Scotty Anthony and wife Jamie, Wesley Anthony, and Tamara Ann Mayne.

A funeral service will be held 2pm on Wednesday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd., Gastonia, officiating by the Rev. Carol Flack.

The family will receive friends 1-1:45pm on Wednesday before the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery.
