Michael Keith Greenwood

Michael Keith Greenwood, a beloved figure in his Gastonia community, passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on January 20, 1960, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Michael was a kind soul who had a special way of making everyone feel welcome. He loved sitting on his front porch, waving at passersby, and listening to the sweet sounds of birdsong. A devoted family man, he cherished his time with loved ones and was always there to lend a hand to his neighbors.

Standing tall as a carpenter, Michael dedicated his life to the construction industry, building not just structures but also lasting relationships.

Michael is survived by his caring sister, Debra Parker (Charles), and his loving mother, Rosa Greenwood, both of whom will miss him dearly. Also left to cherish his memories are his niece and nephew, Michael Stephens (Tammy) and Crystal Mingle (Shaun); great nephews and nieces, Alexander Stephens, Madison Stephens, Cheyenne Stephens, Kayleigh Stephens, Annaleigh Stephens, Aubrey Mingle, and Scarlet Mingle; numerous cousins, uncles, and aunts. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind fond memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Raleigh Greenwood.
