Michael "Mike" Gibbie

Michael "Mike" Gibbie, 55, of Gastonia, passed away May 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born a native of Gaston County on October 3, 1959, the son of Maxine Mitchell Gibbie and the late, Howard James Gibbie. Along with his mother, he is survived by his son, Jamie Burleson; daughter, Michelle Anderson; sister, Starlene Wease and five grandchildren. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by sisters, Sharon Hamby and Elizabeth Riddle. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Independent Baptist Tabernacle, 2128 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas. Visitation will be 1 - 2 pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
