Michael Andrew Fender, 3, of Gastonia went to be with Jesus on June 28, 2019 at CMC - Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte.
He was born on March 16, 2016 in Catawba county the son of Jonathon Paul Fender and Shannon Marie Darby.
He was a member of Evangel Assembly of God in Gastonia.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, William and Patricia Darby and Faye Fender; great-grandparents, Mary Jane Lambert and George Lambert; step-grandmother, Louanne Simms; great-aunt, Janie Lambert; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Michael was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Karen and Martin Petrie; aunt, Laura Simmons; great-aunts, Ann Willis and Christine Watts; great-uncle, Michael Lambert and a number of cousins.
A memorial service will be held 4 pm Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Evangel Assembly of God, 625 Neal Hawkins Road, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Rufus Johnson.
The family will receive friends at 3 pm prior to the service at the church.
