Michael Eugene Chapman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Eugene Chapman, who left us on June 4, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on May 1, 1955, in Greeneville County, South Carolina, Michael spent his life as a dedicated property manager with Post Properties, earning a reputation for his intelligence and straightforward approach to life.

Michael was a simple man who found joy in the little things. He was an avid NASCAR fan, sharing his enthusiasm for the sport with friends and family. He loved nothing more than settling down with his newspaper, never failing to read every page thoroughly and always completing the crossword puzzles. His intelligence and love for learning were evident to all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Candice Garrett, and his two grandsons, Kyler and Colton Garrett, who were a source of immense pride for him. He also leaves behind his sisters, Denita A. Buice, Cathie Chapman, Cindy Fuller, and Deanna Hamilton; bonus mother, Helen West Chapman, all who held a special place in his heart.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Chapman; parents , Eugene and Jeanette Chapman.

All services will be held privately.

Michael may be gone from our sight, but he will remain forever in our hearts.
