Michael "Mike" A. Curry

Michael "Mike" Alexander Curry, 40, of Lowell, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born October 26, 1982, a native of Gaston Co, NC, son of Angela Markeither Curry and the late Nathan George Johnson.

Mike was employed by 3 Fish, Inc, for 15 years. He was a 49ers and Carolina Tarheel fan, and he loved spending time with his children.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Peggy Curry, and Helen Johnson; brother-in-law, David Hicks; aunts, Roberta Lynn Curry, Joyce Thompson, Patricia Thompson, and Claudette Thompson; uncle, Kevin Thompson; and cousins, Thomas Johnson, and Robert Thompson.

In addition to his mother, Angela Curry (Phillip), Mike is survived by his wife of 20 years, Heather Curry; son, Brayden Nathaniel Curry; daughter, Jordyn Alexandria Curry; brothers, Nathan Curry, Christopher Curry, Joseph Curry (Malinda); aunts, Karen Curry, Melissa Walker, and Dorothea Thompson; uncles, Douglas Curry (Jan), Robert Curry (Sonya), Byron Curry (Stephanie), Michael Lee Curry (Georgena), David Thompson (Sherry), Chris Curry (Norma), and Gregory Curry (Angelica); mother-in-law, Ann Byrd (Doug); father-in-law, Reggie Hicks (Bobbie); sister-in-law, Brandi Hicks; special cousin, Sharica Curry; special nephew son, Aaron Williams; and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Daris Curry, will be held 2pm, Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends 6-8pm, Monday, at the funeral home.
