Mervin J. Haas

Dallas, NC Mervin J. Haas, 74, passed away November 13, 2012, at his residence. He was born September 25, 1938 in Gaston County, son of Ethel Jarrell Haas and the late Marshall J. Haas. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Friday at Rankin Lake Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Jim Loftis. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm prior to the service on Friday at the church. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. He is survived by: sons, Randy, Kevin and Shane Haas; brothers, Lanny and Ronnie Haas; sister, Janice Friday; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tobi Hubbard Haas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rankin Lake Baptist Church, 2705 Gastonia Dallas Hwy., Dallas, NC 28034.
