Melton Eugene Mclemore

Melton Eugene McLemore, 68, of Belmont, passed away February 23, 2016 at Pineville Rehabilitation.

He was born January 28, 1948 in Macon County, Georgia, the son of the late Joseph Lee and Pearlie Louise McLemore.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter Julie Griffin and husband James; grandchildren Devon and Ethan Griffin; step-daughter Joanie Edwards; brother Frankie McLemore and sister Darlene Middleton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Joan Murphy McLemore and son Jeffrey Edwards.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm Friday at Goshen Freewill Baptist Church, 1300 West Catawba Avenue, Mt. Holly, officiated by the Rev. Clayton Burch.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Thursday at the church.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
