Melissa Lynn Leininger Daley

Melissa Lynn Leininger Daley, 50, of Shelby, passed away March 20, 2022, at her home.

She was born July 1, 1971, in Madison County, NC.

Melissa was a loving daughter, wife and mother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She never met a stranger and was always willing to carry a conversation with anyone.

One of her favorite pastimes was bowling and participating in a bowling league.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 3-5 pm Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia.

Melissa is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Ernest Keith Daley Jr.; her father, Charles Earl Leininger and wife Cathy Adkins; her mother, Sondra McDaniel Pearson and husband Ben; her son, McDaniel-Ernest Keith Daley III; brother, Christopher Leininger; sister, Deborah Weidenhamer; granddaughter, Willow Pendleton.

Melissa was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ernest Daley Sr. and Virginia Meador Daley.
