Melinda Elaine Mcabee

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melinda Elaine McAbee, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024, at her home in Gastonia, NC. Melinda, born on February 12, 1963, in Gastonia, NC, touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.

Melinda dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker. She was a pillar of strength and love for her husband, Gerald "Butch" McAbee, her children Melissa, Sarah, Gerald, Mandy, and Colt, her grandchildren, Madi, Bellah, Omar, Si, Kamryn, Chelsee, Dresden, Lil Gerald, Jayda, and Noah, as well as her great-grandchildren, Blake, Nevaeh, Colbe, and Aubree. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Melinda's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Her unconditional love, selflessness, and nurturing spirit will be cherished and remembered for generations to come.

Melinda was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Worley, and her mother, Linda McCarthy Gregory.
