Meagan Goins

April 26, 1987 — February 1, 2024

Bessemer City

Meagan Goins completed her journey on this earth on February 1st, 2024. She loved her family with all her heart and was proud to be a part of it. Meagan was an adventurer, a woman of nature, and had a deep connection to the mountains and anything outdoors. She lived loud and wasn't afraid of challenges. Meagan was empathetic and compassionate to a fault and strived to lift up others by bringing happiness, humor, color and light into every life she touched. She yearned for knowledge and could never learn enough. She had an impenetrable faith in Jesus, mountains of love, and was a boundless dreamer. Meagan's soul was as old as time, and she drew people from all walks of life into her love. She adored her two children "the twins" and brought much laughter and light into their lives.

Meagan was an advocate for addiction recovery and was not ashamed to share her story and struggles with this disease if it could bring someone out of their darkness. She wanted to share the love of Jesus and the Gospel with as many people as possible, especially other addicts. It was her passion and desire to erase the stigma of addiction and increase awareness. Her motto was, "There is always Hope."  She was associated with Bowman Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Meagan is survived by her father, Mike Goins and wife, Becky; her mother, Lee Ann Payne Farris; her precious children, Isaac and Athiah Loviolette; her, brother, Michael Goins Jr.; aunts and uncles, Larry Goins, Robbie and Marisa Payne, Steve and Wanda Jordan all of Bessemer City, Gerry and Debi Gehring of Annapolis, MD; cousins, Hannah Payne of Huntsville, AL, Aaron and Adryan Jordan of Bessemer City, Allie Gehring of Crofton, MD, Laren Gehring of Wilmington, NC, Lissy Gehring of Annapolis, MD.

Meagan was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lee Goins Jr., Roberta Bacon Goins, Robert H. Payne and Betty Conner Payne.

A celebration of Meagan's life will be held 2:30-5 pm Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Deer Woods Farm 1020 Sunset Drive Bessemer City, NC 28016.
