Maxine Elliott White

Maxine Elliott White, 89, of Gastonia, passed away January 8, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born December 19, 1933, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Hardy Plato Beal and Verna Rhyne Beal.

Maxine was a former longtime member of West Avenue Presbyterian Church in Gastonia. She retired after working many years as a Secretary for Kellar Realty, Gastonia

She was a member of the Senior Bowling League at Liberty Lanes.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 4-6 pm Friday, January 13, 2023, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road in Gastonia.

All other services will be private.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Kim Carpenter of North Myrtle Beach; brother-in-law, J.C. White; sisters-in-law, Betty Parsons, Lillie Smith; special friend, Kathy Love; cousin, Carolyn Manchoff; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Edward White; brother, Scott Beal.
