Maxine Sellers Allen

Maxine Sellers Allen, 86, of Dallas, passed away October 11, 2015 at Alexandria Place in Gastonia. She was born April 9, 1929, a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late John Phillip and Clara Jane Sellers. Maxine was a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Darlene Roberts and husband Timothy Lamar Roberts of Dallas, John Richard Allen and wife Nancy Allen of Hickory and Claudia Jean Ledford of North Myrtle Beach; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Faye McCraw of Kings Mountain and Nell Collis of Waynesboro, PA. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Friday at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, 618 Chestnut Ridge Church Rd., Kings Mountain, officiated by Pastor Greg Neely. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
