Max Baer Parker, 86, of Clover, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at his residence.

He was born on June 15,1934, in Gaston County, to the late George and Ella Hodge Parker.

Max was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed going golfing and fishing as often as he could.

In addition to his parents, Max is preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Parker; son, Bobby Anderson; and daughter, Brenda Yelton.

Left to cherish Max's memories are his wife of over 47 years, Johnnie Parker; son, Tommy Parker and wife Lori; daughter, Tina Parker; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Chris Wilson, will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Gaston Memorial Park – 1200 S New Hope Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:30-2:30 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Providence Care Hospice – 500 Lakeshore Pkwy, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Inc.
