Max Elliott Glenn, 87, passed away January 22, 2019 at the Robin Johnson House.
Born in Iron Station, NC to the late Lonnie Alexander and Francis Evelyn Glenn, he served in
the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He retired, after 50 years, from Parkdale Mills and was a
member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean Clinton Glenn; three sons, Daniel K. Glenn of
Gastonia, John M. Glenn and wife Pamela of Lincolnton, and Jeffrey S. Glenn and wife Sherry
of Gastonia; one daughter, Gina L. Howard and husband Richard of Fayetteville; seven
grandchildren, Ashley James, Brittany Glenn-Steiner, Heather Luton, Derrick Glenn, Kayla
McCain, Jeremy Glenn and Lincoln Howard; ten great-grandchildren; and brother Franklin D.
Glenn and wife Carol of Texas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist
Church, 1513 Florida St., Gastonia, NC 28052. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church.
Memorials can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Gastonia, NC or the Robin Johnson
House, Dallas, NC.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
