November 2, 1931 — September 23, 2018
Max "Bud" Burgess, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept.23, 2018, at his home in Dallas.
He was the son of the late Morrison and Lillian Burgess, Max is preceded in death by the love of his life Erma C. Burgess.
Max was a long-time member of Restoring Hope Foursquare Church of Dallas.
Max is survived by his children Timothy Max Burgess and wife Donna, Dawn Burgess Cloninger, James Morrison Burgess and wife Lisa, Rhonda Jane Burgess Waldrop and husband Greg. Max leaves behind a legacy of twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 26 with funeral services to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, Dallas, NC. Pastor Cameron Bryson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.
