Maurice Haston Edwards Jr.

Maurice Haston Edwards Jr., 74, of Gastonia, passed away on January 9, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born September 4, 1946, in Mercer County, Kentucky, son of the late Maurice Haston Edwards Sr. and Virginia Moody Edwards.

Maurice was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He enjoyed putting model cars together and collecting them.

Services will be held at a later date.

Maurice is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Beaulah Spicer Edwards; his son, Maurice "Chip" Edwards and wife Cynthia; granddaughter, Alisha Edwards; nephews, Willie Melton, Mark Spicer, Phillip Spicer; nieces, Lynka Edwards, Shirley Edwards .

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Edwards; his sister, Rebecca Melton.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
