Maude Ingrid Pilkington

Maude Ingrid Pilkington, 94, of Gastonia, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

She was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, on October 13, 1928, to the late Linville and Genoravelle Roark Cornett.

In addition to her parents, Maude was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Pilkington; brothers, Monroe Cornett and Kinerd Cornett; and sisters, Nettie Whittaker, Mae Gibson, Ann Ison; Jean Allen, Grace Cornett, and June Fugate.

Maude is survived by her son, Joe Pilkington; daughters, Jeannia Collier, Debbie Miller, and Gretchen Adams; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Leo Kuykendall, will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Gaston Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.
