Matthew Steven Trammell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew Steven Trammell, who left us on January 7, 2025, at the age of 34. Born on October 22, 1990, in Gaston County North Carolina, Matthew was a beloved father, son, grandson, and friend to all who knew him.

Matthew grew up in Gastonia and had an adventurous spirit from a young age. He loved the thrill of riding motorcycles, starting as a kid with bicycles and working his way up to the open road. His passion for riding was matched only by his enthusiasm for working on them, and he found joy in tinkering both with bicycles and motorcycles.

Known for his contagious laugh and athleticism, Matthew brought joy to everyone around him. He lived life to the fullest and loved sharing good times with family and friends.

Matthew is survived by his daughter Maycee Grace Carter; father, Steven Trammell (Dana); his mother, Stephanie Price (Richard); and his grandmothers, Alice Neal and Pat Price; siblings, Dillon Trammell, Joshua Price, Cole Price, Myranda Price and Harley Price; a numerous number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; who will all miss him dearly.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025, 3:00 pm at the Keener Building 701 Secrest St. Belmont, NC, additional parking behind St. Mark's United Methodist Church. We invite everyone who knew and loved Matthew to join us in honoring his memory as we share stories and reflect on the incredible person he was.

Matthew was preceded in death by his sister, Katlain Barnes; grandfathers, Steven "Jack" Neal and Bud Price; grandmother, Suphronia Trammell.
