Matthew "Clint" Thompson

Gastonia, NC –

Matthew "Clint" Thompson, 37, passed away February 12, 2017 at his home from complications of diabetes.

He was born February 14, 1979, a native of Gaston County, the son of Pamela Bales Thompson and the late Charles "Charlie" Dean Thompson.

Clint worked in the produce department at Food Lion on New Hope Road.

Left to cherish his memories along with his mother are his sister, Aimee Thompson of Gastonia; niece, Sterling Espada of Gastonia and his maternal grandmother, Billie Bales of Douglasville, GA.

Receiving of friends and family will be held 7 – 9 pm Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Greene Funeral Service- South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 205 Regency Executive Park Dr., Suite 102, Charlotte, NC 28217.
