Mary Wyatt Willis

Mary Wyatt Willis, 94, of Gastonia, went home to be with the Lord, December 1, 2016 at Morningside Assisted Living.

She was born February 2, 1922 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late William Albert Wyatt and Ruth Foster Wyatt.

Mary was a member of First ARP Church in Gastonia.  She was a 5th grade teacher at the Central School in Gastonia from 1943 – 1952.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons Victor Willis and wife Karen and Daniel Willis and wife Karen who wish to give a special thanks to the Staff of Morningside Assisted Living and Gaston County Hospice.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Earl Willis and sister Lucille Wyatt Bovender.

A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Matt Kuiken, will be held 3 pm Monday, December 5, 2016 at Gaston Memorial Park.

Receiving of friends and family will be held 1:00 – 2:30 pm prior to the service at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054 or Meredith College, 3800 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27607-5298.
