Mary Elizabeth Stennett Phillips

Mary Elizabeth Stennett Phillips, 69, of Danville, VA, passed away December 13, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

She was born March 5, 1947, in Gaston County, the daughter of the late Robert S. Stennett and Esther Owensby Stennett.

Mary has been a member of Westview Baptist Church.  She was an amazing woman and the most devoted mother to her children and many extended.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Tilley; and her stepmother, Ruby Stennett.

She is survived by three daughters; two sons and too many grand and great-grandchildren to name.

A graveside service, officiated by the Rev. Jerry Millwood, will be held 1:30 pm Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Gaston Memorial Park 1200 S. New Hope Road, Gastonia.

The family will receive friends and family 12:30 pm Saturday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
