Mary Nix

Mary Putnam Nix, 79, of Dallas, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at her residence.

A native of Gaston County, born on July 7, 1942, Mary was the daughter of the late Ambrose "Bud" and Dovie Medford Putnam.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Eugene Nix; brothers, Robert and Turner Putnam; and son, Donald Wayne Nix.

Left to cherish Mary's memories are her son, Christopher Eugene Nix (Tanya) and daughter, Debbie Nix.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Johnny Yarboro, will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 25, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Internment to follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
