Mary Elizabeth Mull went home to be with our Lord and Savior, at her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones, on August 5, 2025, in Kings Mountain, NC. Born on February 4, 1946, in Cleveland County, NC, Mary was known for her warm spirit and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
Mary found immense joy in her flower garden, often spending hours tending to her flowers and watching birds, especially her hummingbirds that would visit her. Mary loved to fish alongside her husband where they could relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Mary also enjoyed playing bingo, always looking forward to the excitement each game brought. Additionally, she was a lifelong wrestling fan, sharing her enthusiasm and spirited commentary with friends and family. She always loved spending time with her family and was an amazing caregiver to anyone she knew.
She is survived by her loving children, Mark Mull (Sandra), Lynn Williams (Jeff), Kenneth Mull II (Lova), Kimberly Mull (Richard), and Holly Bolt (Chad); 14 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Martin; brothers, Harold Short and Vernon Short. Mary leaves behind numerous friends and family who will always remember her kindness and the love she shown.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Mull; parents, Mills and Carrie Short; son, Timothy Wilson, grandsons, Johnathan Humphries and Christopher Mull; siblings, Ronnie Short, Gail Short, Ricky Short, Bobby Short, and Jackie Short.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia. A service will follow starting at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
