Mary Ann Lewis

Mary Ann Lewis, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 18, 2024, due to natural causes. Born on January 8, 1947, in South Carolina, Mary Ann touched the lives of many with her warm smile and caring nature.

Despite not completing her formal education, Mary Ann pursued a successful career as a truck driver in the trucking industry and later was a wonderful homemaker for her family.

She is survived by her loving children, Robert Sacco (Terri), Tony Quigg, Cherie Quigg and Marla Anderson; sister, Jeanne Lineman (Don); brothers, Randolph Nichols (Kathy) and Ron Nichols; grandchildren, Chuck King (Elizabeth), Tyrel Sacco, and Joshua Benfield (Ashley); 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

In accordance with her wishes, Mary Ann's cremation will take place in Gastonia, NC. A celebration of her life and legacy will be announced in the future, where friends and family can come together to honor and remember her.

Mary Ann Lewis will be forever remembered for her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. May she rest in peace.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Bethel Leroy Nichols and Mary Gunn Nichols; sons, Troy Sacco, Clifton Jacobs and Kelly Quigg; sister, Debbie Jacobs.
