Mary Lee Greene

Mary Lee Greene, 67, of Gastonia, NC, passed away August 31, 2024, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC.

She was born in Gaston County, NC on March 25, 1957, to the late Paul and Ruth Harmon Fair.

She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. She was formerly a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC. Mary was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the family historian. She had a way of sharing family stories with great humor. She loved baseball.

Mary is survived by her son, Christopher Greene and wife Rebecca; sister, Judy Hanna; grandchildren, Bella Darby, Levi Darby, Hannah Darby, Eli Greene, and Lydia Greene; niece, Monica Becton and husband Matthew; and great-niece, Madison Becton.

A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. Rev. David Reed will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City, NC.
