Mary White Hill

Gastonia, NC Mary White Hill, age 87, passed away October 29, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born July 13, 1926 in York, SC, daughter of the late William Elias White and Lula Bell Jonas White. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church, Gastonia, where she taught Sunday School, participated in Mission trips and Crisis Assistance Ministry. Mary worked in Textiles for over 30 years. The family would like to express their thanks to the Staff of Caromont Regional Medical Center for their care of Mrs. Hill. The family will receive friends 1 to 2:15 pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. A celebration of her Homegoing will be held 2:30 pm on Friday at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Mike Johnson. The entombment will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum, Gastonia. Mrs. Hill is survived by: her loving husband of 70 years, William "Bill" Hill; son and daughter in-law, Jack and Cindy Hill; daughter and son in-law, Judi and Terry Crook; brother and sister in-law, Boyce and Rebecca White; sister, Ethel McIntyre; grandchildren, Dennis Cole and companion, Tosha, Duane Cole and spouse, Nikki, Lindsay Davis and spouse, Sean, Matthew Hill; great grandchildren, Anna, Jacob, Ayla and Liam Cole. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. Memorials may be made to, Chapel Grove Baptist Church, 716 Camp Rotary Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
