Mary Astor Haire Poston

Mary Astor Haire Poston, 85, of Charlotte passed away February 23, 2014 at the Mecklenburg Health Care Center. She was born October 11, 1928 in Elizabethtown, NC daughter of the late John Charles and Mattie Sherman Haire. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte officiated by Rev. Lisa Oates. She was a very loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and a member of Southview Baptist Church in Charlotte. Mrs. Poston is survived by: her sons, Charles and Alton Poston; daughter, Hope Poston; brother, Charles Haire; grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Jon, and Sarah Poston, Kristina and Katelyn Stephens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband of 48 years, David Lester Poston; son, David Spencer Poston. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
