Mary Ruth Brown Guy, 84, of Alexis, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 2, 1933 in Buncombe County, daughter of the late David and Jessie Brown.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm Tuesday, June 6, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
