Mary Frances Fredell Karriker

Mary Frances Fredell Karriker, 79, of Gastonia, passed away on August 11, 2013 at White Oak Manor, Shelby, NC. She was born July 6, 1934 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Jesse R. Fredell and Gertrude Clary Fredell. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Hospice of Cleveland County, for the care that was given to Mrs. Karriker. A celebration of Mary's life will be held 12:00 p.m. noon on Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Mr. Terry Collins. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. Mrs. Karriker is survived by: daughters, Deborah Hawkins and husband Bobby of Clover, SC, Janet Clack of Gastonia; sisters, Anna Wright, Martha Scoggins, Edith Futch, Betty and Jessie Thompson and Patrice Fredell; grandchildren, Connie Camp, Christy Collins and Stephanie Hughes; five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: husband, William W. Karriker; son, John W. Karriker; sister, Ellen Peck.
