Mary P. Corbett Jenkins

Mary P. Corbett Jenkins, 87, of Gastonia, went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2017.

She was born February 8, 1930, in Johnston County, the daughter of the late Samuel Pleasant and Mary Ophelia Burke Pleasant.

Mary was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church where she attended the W.O.W. Sunday school class.  She enjoyed cooking and gardening.  She loved her family dearly.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Jim Corbett and wife, Marcie, and grandchildren, Bethany and Nicholas Corbett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Corbett and second husband, Mack Jenkins.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor David Belle Isle, will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1729 East Garrison Blvd., Gastonia.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Parkwood.

Burial will be in Selma Memorial Gardens.
