Mary Elizabeth Conner Owensby, 82, of Gastonia, passed away December 2, 2017 at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.
A native of Gaston County, she was born October 12, 1935, daughter of the late Lonnie and Vergie Conner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Lewis Owensby, and her brothers, Claude Conner and Harrill Flack.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Teresa Rankin and husband Michael; brother, Charles Conner of Rutherfordton; sisters, Margaret Jones of Rutherfordton, and Gladys Green of Kings Mountain; grandsons, Ryan and Tyler Rankin; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Rankin.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 6, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 2:00 pm Wednesday.
Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
