Mary M. Avery

Mary M. Avery,67, of Kings Mountain, passed away on April 20, 2017, at her home.

She was born June 20, 1949, in Rochester, Indiana, daughter of the late Jesse Merrill and Edith Croussore Merrill.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at El Bethel United Methodist Church, 122 El Bethel Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 officiated by the Rev. Julie Ann Roberts.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The visitation will be private.

Mrs. Avery is survived by sons, Ivan Avery of Houston, TX, Bill Swango of Nappanee, IN, Joseph Swango of Kings Mountain, NC; daughters, Elizabeth Avery, Elaine Lemberg both of Syracuse, IN; brother, Melvin Merrill of Rochester, IN; sister, Nancy Anderson of South Bend, IN.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Ivan F. Avery; son, Tim Swango; sister, Peggy Marlin; brother, Roy Merrill.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
