Mary Loretta Asbury Collins

Mary Loretta Asbury Collins, 65, of Gastonia, passed away February 8, 2016 at her residence.

She was born April 19, 1950 in York County, SC, the daughter of the late Roosevelt Asbury, Sr. and Odessa Falls Asbury.  Left to cherish her memories are her brothers Roosevelt Asbury Jr. and Willie James Asbury; nieces and nephews, Vickie Asbury Currence, Jerry Asbury (Deborah), Teresa, Terry and Lavone Asbury, Margaret Rosenboro (Breech), Nickey Davis (Deforest); godson Justin Currence; 24 great-nieces and nephews, 19 great-great- nieces and nephews; uncles Charles Falls and Clemency Falls (Brenda); aunt Amy McCombs (Tommy) and a host of cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Florine Asbury.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Will of God Ministries, 205 Hampshire Street, Clover, SC.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Burial will be in Clover Community Cemetery.

The family will be gathering throughout the week at 1507 Holly Leaf Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052.
