Marvin "Red" Moose, 85, of Gastonia, passed away March 16, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 22, 1930, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Marvin C. Moose Sr. and Ruth Stallings Moose.
Red was a US Army veteran, who served during the Korean War with the 27th Infantry Wolf Hounds. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 60 years, Judith Moose; son Marvin Moose III "Little Red" and wife Gina; daughter Sabrina Moose Canup; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Charles Kellar.
The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park with military honors by the Gaston County Honor Guard.
