Marvin "M.D." Dewey Rabb Jr.

Marvin "M.D." Dewey Rabb, Jr., 92, of Gastonia, passed away June 23, 2018 at Brookdale Robinwood.
He was born June 21, 1926, a native to Gaston County, the son of the late Marvin D. Rabb, Sr. and Pauline Abernathy Rabb.
M.D. was a charter member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He was a Mason for 70 years as a member of the Gastonia Masonic Lodge 369. He was an employee of CL Rabb, Inc. for 30 years and a United States Navy veteran of WWII. He was known for his wit and charm and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Harriet Louise Rabb; son, Christopher L. Rabb and wife, Suzanne of Ft. Mill, SC; daughter, Audrey L. Rabb of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Madelyn Rabb of Charlotte, NC, Jeremy and wife Jacqueline Waldoch of Roanoke, VA, Lindsay Rabb of Raleigh, NC, Bryan Rabb and wife, Lauren of Fort Mill, SC; great-grandchildren, Sarah Madelyn Rabb, Emily Grace Rabb, Lucy Carolyn Rabb, Doriana Nicole Waldoch, Abrielle Bryleigh Waldoch; niece, Sylvia Rabb Lufkin; brother-in-law, Billy Davis Parker and sister-in-law, Eloise Norman Rabb.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Aubrey Rabb and Nelson Eddy Rabb.
A celebration of life service will be held 11 am, July 6, 2018 at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1915 S. New Hope Road, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Jeff Lindsay.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
